Gossip Girl is on a very short list of television shows I watch. I love it because the plot moves along quickly so it entertains. But the main reason I love it is because of the amazing clothing and parties. I’ve been reading the recaps on the NY Magazine blog. They are seriously so great. It’s the first thing I read on Tuesday mornings.

i have been reading these since the first season and i agree, they are amazing! i love a new yorker’s sarcastic take on the show and without them i would have never known that j. sisters was a waxing place! ha!

i agree. i feel badly admitting this is probably one of my top three favorite shows… but it’s so much fun! and those recaps are great, they totally match the tone of the show and add to the joy of watching gossip girl. so nice to know i’m not alone.

I enjoy the New York magazine coverage, but you should also check out Jacob Clifton’s recaps at Television Without Pity. He has an amazing almost literary take on the characters that has really increased my enjoyment of the show.

Ahh, hilarious. I, too, love this show and the New York mag recaps. They make it that much better.

Completely agree! I am rather addicted to Gossip Girl (and all of those lovely clothes!), and NY Mag has the funniest commentary about “the greatest show of our time” as they call it. I love it! Such a guilty pleasure.

I am so hooked on this show! The recaps are awesome! I just wish they would stop focusing on annoying Jenny and her pseudo-mullet. She is getting too much screen time.

I also adore the duo… I am not sure whether I get more excited about the episodes or the recap.
Frankly, I want Blair’s whole wardrobe.

nevermind that it’s the most unrealistic show about high schoolers ever, right? but i did grow up in rural indiana. and historically, i have been known to possess far more than the normal amount of naivety . . . oh my. 🙂 still, yes. it can entertain.

Thank god someone who shares my addiction… the fashion is just too amazing to not tune in! C’mon now! I just have to forget that the characters are still in high school because the instant I do, I have to call bullsh*t on their scandalous ways and it’s hard to appreciate the plot.

I absolutely love this show! It’s my guilty pleasure. Being introduced to this blog which calls it “The Greatest Show” is total vindication that I am not insane for loving it.
