Just did this in March for my nephew’s second birthday. We used traffic cones, caution tape and lots of metal pails with scoops! Also placed all of his construction toys out onto the dessert table!

Construction site cakes are a great idea too – and perfect if you’re cake decorating skills aren’t up to scratch.
Just ice a chocolate cake with chocolate icing, smash up a little of it at the top to look like some work is going on, then add a little digger and a few traffic cones!
Perfect for a construction themed party and so easy!
