We are heading up to Stinson Beach to enjoy the beginning of summer at a friend’s beach house. I’m so excited, it’s even supposed to get into the 70’s! I went to Target last week to stock up on summer supplies, every time I go there I buy half the store. I’m not even sharing all the rad stuff I bought. I ran out of space on this post. Also, just a heads up: if you are in the market for some sand toys they have the best selection in the store (not the one below, I couldn’t find them online.) I realize by explaining this I’m revealing how I care way too much about sand toys BUT all my sand toy dreams came true at Target. I always do research before I buy anything and look for the most beautiful and best kind to buy. For two years I haven’t found any sand toys I like. They are always weird colors or really cheaply made. The selection at Target was so good I actually had to edit and take sand toys out of my cart. In case anyone cares as much as I do, get thee to Target. Have you found anything good at Target lately?
Beach Toys: As a mom of two little boys these get used at just about every park outing (find the good ones in-store.)
Chambray Skirts: I love these (here/here/here) for summer because they are casual and comfortable. So easy to throw on over a swimsuit.
Heart Sunnies: I bought a pair of these last week. I lose sunglasses like nobody’s business. Best to keep ’em affordable.
Towels: All of our beach towels had disappeared so we were due for some new ones (here/here/here/here). Such a good selection.
Floppy Sunhat: I literally tried on 20 different hats at different stores and this is the only one that didn’t fall in my face.
Beach Bag: I’ve been wearing lots of basics like chambray lately so the pattern on this bag livens up my outfit.
Sandals: I like sandals I can wear to the beach or out to dinner. These are perfect.

I saw those sandals and thought about purchasing them. I love the fun colors and details that really dress the sandal up a bit. Enjoy your upcoming long weekend!

YES! I’m not quite sure what it is about Target, but it’s like falling down the rabbit hole every time I go – I walk in and somehow don’t walk out until 2 hours later with 5 more bags than I needed. I bought that same beach bag a few weeks ago and get tons of compliments – you have great taste! =)

target is a black hole of wonderfulness — are those sandals comfortable for a long day of walking? It’s been hit/miss with shoes from target for me…

I LOVE Target (as you can see… http://ow.ly/lkYqn ). I always go when I visit my parents in the burbs and end up spending hours there. Those beach towels are amazing! I hate ugly beach towels so I’m very excited to run out and get these. I agree with you though, in store selection is so much better!

Now that we have Target in Canada, I finally paid one a visit and it was such a blast. Might have bought some pool noodles even though I don’t have a pool…

Can anyone tell me if the metal on those sandals gets hot? They’re gorgeous but I’m afraid to burn my tootsies.

Two of my favs in one post! Target and Stinson Beach. That was my weekend beach location from high school through college. Such a wonderful beach town. Love the sand dollar restaurant and the curvy two lane road to get there! Sigh.

I totally get what you write about buying sand toys. The best sand toys ever are made by spielstabil: http://www.spielstabil.de/Welcome/welcome.html
No matter which shape you buy, they work and they don’t ever break. Our kids love them.

I too am a complete sand toy officiando. I haven’t bought any for two years because of the horrible colors alone. I noticed GOOOD colors coming out of Target this year. I got a bunch of the towels you have too and made surf ponchos for my kids out of them. they are too cute.

I have those sandals in 2 colors. In my opinion: they are very comfortable. I have worn them a ton for full, long walking days. I did not notice the metal get hot at all and I wore them in Palm Springs and Las Vegas (both very hot).
HOWEVER, the metal is super cheap. The gold is not gold but metal painted gold. I had them on and slathered my feet in sunblock and all the gold smeared off. The sunblock took the color away.
