Have friends that are moving? Here is a little gift that is easy to put together and is so thoughtful. All you need is a printout and a paint pen to trace it on the jar. Then just stop by a hardware store to stock up the jar and you’ve got a present.
Materials: A variety of housewarming goods, a large glass jar with a lid, a printout of your desired text, tape, opaque paint pen, ribbon
Step 1: Print out your text and tape it to the inside of the jar.
Step 2: Trace over the text with your paint pen and then remove the paper from the inside of the jar.
Step 3: Tie a ribbon onto the top of the jar.
Step 4: Fill it up with the housewarming goodies.

What a great gift! The technique you used to write on the jar is genius! I have terrible handwriting, so I will have to try this.

Such a great idea! I can’t wait to make a few for all my friends moving into new places this June! I might even try writing right on the jar without a stencil, if I’m brave enough to use my own handwriting (:

Great idea! You always need random little things when you move, so it is nice to have them all contained in a pretty container.

I love this idea! I would say, though…don’t give this to your friends until AFTER they’ve moved. No need to make them pack 1 more thing.
