In college I wrote a 25 page paper on Slaughterhouse-five. I literally read it 20 times. I love that book.
Vonnegut said his goal in writing novels was to “catch people before they become generals and Senators and Presidents” and “poison their minds with humanity. Encourage them to make a better world.”

This is sad news. ONe of my happiest memories from college is the summer my friend brought over a new Vonnegut book everyweek.

I actually had the great opportunity to design his website … what a great man and thinker. He will be missed!
Big fan of your site, I check it daily. I am a graphic designer here in Lexington, KY and am a huge fan of SF! You’ve got a lot to be inspired by.
Good luck with starting up your own shop! That’s on my list of things to do one day!

Fare thee well, sweet Vonnegut. You brought many an unexpected smile to my face.

I was obsessed with Vonnegut for an entire summer I read and re-read everyone of his books. I even went to see him speak but the event was canceled at the last minute because he accidentally burnt down his house the night before. Ohhhh…it’s all too sad.
