At the Design Women’s meeting Kendra told me about this book called Crave San Francisco The Urban Girl’s Manifesto. Here is a description of it from Amazon:
Crave San Francisco is a thoughtful, intelligent urban girl’s manifesto that will connect you with more than 220 extraordinary service professionals and boutique retailers in San Francisco. Crave San Francisco is a celebration of women entrepreneurs that showcases some of the most creative, interesting and gutsy proprietors throughout 11 San Francisco’s favorite neighborhoods.
It basically goes through and profiles all the little boutiques in San Francisco owned by women it also has some interviews of the boutique owners. I’m going to Border’s today to buy it.

Another great one is the eat shop guide. It is not just woman-owned, but small boutiques. I think the website is eatshopguide.com
