It’s nearly summer! This calls for long afternoons hanging out in the sun and cooling off in a pool! Pool parties are a great excuse to get friends together, and an even better excuse to buy a few of those amazing inflatables floating around the web (like this, this, and this)! In celebration of summer, we made this pool balloon wall. It’s a fun, silly addition to any summer soirée. To make a theme of it, you can even serve your guests a summery drink with a pool float of its own. Throw in some full-size inflatables for easy photobooth props and decoration.  Just remember — no diving!

Materials needed: Swimming Pool PDF, projector, pencil, 160Q balloons (in pale blue, teal, and black), balloon hand pump, scissors, double-sided Shurtape

Step 1: Download the swimming pool PDF and project it onto a large, blank wall. Lightly trace the pool design with a pencil.

Step 2: Apply pieces of Shurtape on the outline of the ladder and remove the paper backing. Then, add vertical strips of Shurtape within the pool areas.

Step 3: Inflate a bunch of 160 balloons in tropical teal, several 160 balloons in pale blue, and a few 160 balloons in black. Release a bit of air from each balloon before knotting, so that the balloon has less tension.

Step 4: Fill in the design with balloons. Start by filling in the ladder with black balloons. Next, use pale blue balloons to make each of the three wavy lines. Fill in the space between the pale blue lines with teal balloons. To make balloons to size, inflate a balloon to the length that you need, knot both ends, and trim off the leftovers.
