Since having my two boys, there are even more birthdays than ever to remember–and even less room in my brain to remember them all. There’s Nana, Auntie Melissa, Lucas’ friend Judah, Theo’s friend Crosby, Uncle Colin, my friend Tina, cousin Logan, co-worker Matthew, and the list goes on. With only a few materials, you can make these cute little Accordion Birthday Books to keep track of birthdays or pass them out as favors for a birthday party!
Materials: DIY Accordion Birthday Books Template, cutting mat, X-Acto knife, straight edge, glue stick
Step 1: Print out the DIY Accordion Birthday Books Template (print the covers onto 8.5 x 11 white cardstock and the inside pages onto white text weight paper). Cut out the covers with an X-Acto knife.
Step 2: Cut the inside pages in half lengthwise at the crop marks with an X-Acto knife.
Step 3: Fold each strip of paper accordion style by folding one of the strips in half. Then fold one edge back towards the center.
Step 4: Use the glue stick to place glue onto the blank page (next to “March”).
Step 5: Adhere “April” to the blank page.
Step 6: Use the glue stick to place glue onto the other blank page (next to “September”).
Step 5: Adhere “October” to the blank page.
Step 7: Use the glue stick to adhere both long strips of paper to each other.
Step 8: Use the glue stick to adhere the back cover to the back blank page of the book.
Step 9: Lastly, use the glue stick to adhere the front cover to the front blank page of the book. Start filling in your friends’ and family members’ birthdays so you’ll never forget!

These are super cute! I’ve started getting into book binding lately and like seeing other applications for it.
Thanks Emily! The accordion fold is super easy once you get the hang of it and I love that it applies to all sizes of books 🙂
