In curating this playlist I had to constantly ask the team if my choices were too overwhelmingly ‘broody’ and whether the mix needs a greater injection of upbeat pop. Admittedly, my taste can stray to the dark side and ooze a distinctly non ‘Oh Happy Day’ aroma.

In my defence, however, I think Valentine’s day can stir up a whole spectrum of emotions- not just the light, saccharine innocence that it more commonly arouses but also memories of lost love, of unrequited crushes, of obsession, of loneliness. And so this playlist attempts to mash them all in into one epic rollercoaster.

I do hope there is enough of the light and fluffy to balance the ‘Amy-ness’. Take a listen and decide!
