I recently partnered up with Wolf Appliances to shoot a video with my sister Gabby and sister-in-law Liz. Wolf has a great campaign about reclaiming the kitchen and inspiring busy families to enjoy cooking together. We’re sharing our favorite family recipes: like this burnt butter pasta (which literally takes 15 minutes to throw together.) It’s a staple in our house. Make sure you see the video and the recipe below!
It’s our Aunt Robin’s recipe, and we love it! This is a ridiculously fast and easy recipe, but it feels like a modern, fresh take on mac & cheese. And as you can guess, kids adore it! A perfect meal option for a busy night, with ingredients that everyone has on hand — pasta, parmesan and butter.
Brown Butter Pasta
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 lb. pasta
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- (Optional): chopped greens
Bring a pot of water to boil. Add pasta and cook al dente. Drain pasta.
Place your butter in a pan and brown. Once the color turns a golden caramel color, and you can smell a nutty scent, add salt and pepper, cooked pasta, parmesan cheese and chopped greens.
Serve and enjoy!

Hi Jordan! I’ve followed the three of you for years and this is one of my favorite posts. I really loved seeing a video where the three of you collaborated, but kept things about family. I’d love to see more of this! And, I’m definitely trying the recipe!

I do something similar with mizithra cheese instead of parmesan.
