Spring is near and that means it’s bunny season! These bunny rosettes are a fun way to decorate for Easter and get in the spring spirit. These versatile rosettes would look great on a gift box or hanging from branches to make a fun Easter centerpiece! Every-bunny will love it! (More Easter ideas here!)
Materials: Printable Bunny Rosette Template, 8.5 x 11 text weight paper (I used regular printer paper), scissors, bone folder, ruler or straight edge, glue gun, glue stick, 1.5″ circle punch, pom poms, hole punch, bakers twine or other string.
Step 1: Print out the Printable Bunny Rosette Template on 8.5 x 11 text weight paper.
Step 2: Follow the crop marks and score lines on the rosette squares. There will be 7 horizontal scores and 1 vertical through the center.
Step 3: Use a 1.5” circle punch to cut out the bunny head. If you don’t have a circle punch you can use scissors. Cut out the remaining template (3 rosette squares & bunny ears) with scissors.
Step 4: Following the scored lines, fold the rosette squares accordion style. Fold Each accordion in half.
Step 5: With the glue gun, glue each accordion section together through the center. Once all three sections are done, glue them all together (see photo) so you have a full rosette.
Step 6: Fold the bunny ears in half and put glue (using glue stick) on the bottom of the ears. Fit them into the rosette folds and let dry. The bunny ears work best with 2 folds between them.
Step 7: Glue the head on the front side of the rosette and a pom-pom tail on the back using a glue gun.
Step 8: Using a hole punch, make a hole on the back flap of the rosette. This works best where two of the sections meet and have been glued together.
Step 9: Feed baker’s twine or string through the hole and tie a knot at the top.
Happy Easter!
