I love Blue Apron and subscribe to their service (even when they aren’t paying me!). You can see my previous reviews here and here. If you haven’t heard of it, its a service that does the meal plans and shopping for you. I love it because my family loves to cook together so its perfect for us. They recently launched a new Family Plan that I’m going to switch to. It’s perfect for families of 4. With this new plan, you can opt to get 1 or 2 deliveries a week. Each delivery comes with 2 meals served family style. Before this, we’d been doubling up on the 2-person plan. So this new option is way easier for us because all the ingredients are already measured out and ready to go. Also, another initial concern with this service was the packaging but they improved the packaging a while back so it is significantly less. Everything else remains the same: Blue Apron is so easy and fresh. It comes right to our doorstep with the right proportions. Right now they ship to 80% of the country (click here to see if they ship to you!) There’s no commitment, you can skip or cancel service any time or even skip a week if you’re busy or out of town. And their recipes are always really good and things I would never try to make myself. Some favorites: Butternut Squash & Goat Cheese Pizza, the Macadamia Crusted Cod, and the Roasted Brussel Sprout Salad.
Today, the first 100 readers will get 2 meals free with their first Blue Apron order! Just click here for your coupon code.

Sounds nice. How far have these things come in the US? Did they arrive with the word “foodie”, or does it go back further?

I’m so glad they fixed the packaging thing – that was a major turnoff for me to try it. Now I will consider it, especially with first baby coming!

You are right. The new packaging is much better. A wonderful service that is healthy and saves money, too.
