It’s advent calendar time! I usually put one together over the Thanksgiving Break. We have a tradition of doing one little Christmas activity everyday. Sometimes it is small things like drinking spiced cider but sometimes it’s a bigger activity like going to see the Nutcracker. Those little things were the most important part of the holidays for me when I was younger so we try to keep that going. I picked up these awesome treat bags at Paper Mart and knew they’d be perfect for an easy advent calendar. To make them just print the numbers directly onto the bags. I like to include a few little toys or treats for the boys in addition to a Christmas activity. What do you include in your advent calendar? See all of our advent calendar ideas here.
Materials: Paper Bags in various colors/patterns, Printer, Ribbon, Paper Clips or Clothespins
Step 1: Change your printer settings to fit the size of your paper bags and then print numbers 1-24 onto them.
Step 2: Fill the bags with treats and/or printed activities to celebrate each day until Christmas
Step 3: Hang the bags onto ribbon with paper clips or mini clothespins.

This is such an adorable idea. I like the idea of putting non-candies in the bags, as my dogs have a tendency to destroy advent calendars with treats in them 🙂

I like the colours and the idea of filling Christmas activities into yous advent calendar! But it’s quite difficult to imagine 24 different activities, isn’t it?

This is one of the cutest Christmas DIY projects that I’ve ever seen. I pinned it for future reference because I think my son would love it next year!
