Here’s the last costume in our Homemade Halloween series this year: a UFO! Don’t get scared if you see her spinning around your neighborhood on October 31. We want to say a huge thanks for everyone one who helped make these a possibility – especially my friend Fergi who styled everything! See all 30 of our 2014 costumes here.

Materials: Baby Spring Float (not pictured,) Grey Plastic Tablecloth (not pictured,) Small Inflatable Swim Ring, Metallic Duct Tape, Large Plastic Bowl, Goggles, Long Skinny Balloons, Grey Shirt & Pants, Metallic Shoes
Step 1: Cut a hole in the center of the baby spring float so your head can fit through. Cover the baby spring float with the tablecloth and tape underneath. Measure where your head should fit through the tablecloth and cut a slit. This will be your base.
Step 2: Blow up the swim ring and cover with metallic duct tape.
Step 3: Blow up about 30 skinny balloons. Attach them underneath the base with tape.
Step 4: To assemble, place the base (with balloons attached) over your head. It will sit on your shoulders. Then place the swim ring over your head. To finish, make sure you have the goggles on before placing the large plastic bowl over your head. (You may need to stabilize this with tape.)

This is so cute. I know it wouldn’t look half as cute on a full grown woman like me, but maybe I’ll still try š
Thanks for sharing and love from Italy

I totally miss being of an age where even the largest of “large bowls” would fit over my head. Sigh.
Love this!
