Personalized Felt Heart Muslin Bags come in handy for packaging little treats or goodies for Valentine’s Day or for birthday party favors. Felt comes in a variety of colors and iron-on letters can be found in various colors and fonts, allowing you to customize your Personalized Felt Heart Muslin Bags. If hearts don’t strike your fancy, try cutting out circles, squares, or your favorite geometric shape.
Materials: Small muslin bags, red felt, scissors, white soft flocked iron-on letters, iron, ironing board, piece of cardboard, glue stick
Step 1: Cut out a heart shape from the red felt.
Step 2: Cut out one iron-on letter and place it, adhesive side down, in the center of the red felt heart. Use an iron on medium-high setting and press for 15 seconds, flip over, and press 10 seconds on the opposite side.
Step 3: Let it cool. Peel off the backing from the iron-on letter.
Step 4: Insert a piece of cardboard inside the muslin bag.
Step 5: Put glue on the back of the personalized felt heart and center it on the muslin bag. Press down and let it dry for 1 hour.
Step 6: Remove cardboard and fill the bag with treats or goodies.

I think for a small group, maybe. However, this would still be something I’d consider too time consuming for a large amount of gifts. It is very cute, though.
Hi Amanda! Once I had all the supplies set up it only took me about 5 minutes to complete one bag. The iron-on letters make it a quick project.

Oh, perfect! My dark, shameful secret: I HATE Valentine’s Day. So imagine my surprise/horror when my four-year-old informed me that it is her favorite holiday and started counting down the days (she was actually a little bummed that Christmas came first!). Now I have a great project for us to do together to celebrate her favorite day of the year!
How funny! Well, I’m so glad we could bring you both together. 🙂
Hi Lynn! I felt the same way about Valentine’s Day until I had my first son. Now it is one of my favorite holidays! 🙂

This is such a great idea. I did a similar craft for a party gift bag over Christmas and used small velvet drawstring bags. Love it for Valentine’s day!
