A circus wedding? Yes! Your wedding day will be one of the best days you will experience, so why not make it extra fun for you and your guests, with a circus theme? You can put as much or as little circus you want into it. I would go the less is more route, with big colorful balloons, peanuts for guests, brightly frosted cakes in different sizes, and of course, the tent to bring it all together.
1. balloons 2. table cards 3. circus tent 4. peanut bags 5. tickets 6. cake

I love, love, love this idea! The tent and balloons–just wow. But, I would suggest no peanuts as nut allergies can be life threatening and guest may not have warning that peanuts will be all around.

We had a vintage carnival wedding this fall. We wanted something that was fun and casual. We hand painted our very own ticket booth and made games like the milk bottle toss. My husband designed invites that looked like the old advertisements you would have seen back then with lingo like death defying feats of matrimony. It was a blast.

We considered doing a circus/carnival-themed wedding this fall, but ended up opting for a more traditional route to save time/energy. I made a fun pin board with lots of ideas, though, if anyone’s planning: http://www.pinterest.com/hungrycook/carnival/
It would be so festive!
PS: Jenny – would love to see photos from your wedding. Sounds like it was fantastic!

I had a circus wedding and it was wonderful filled with light & joy. We had a Ferris Wheel, Carousel and a luxuriously old Spiegeltent full of mirrors. Personally it was all about the tent for me. If you want to see some of the photos from the day you can see them below. xx

I’ve always had such a love for the circus. It’s so cheerful and dark all at the same time. A circus themed wedding would be gorgeous!!

My husband and I had a circus theme wedding as well. We organised rides, games, a petting zoo, circus food, balloons, bubbles, poppers, entertainers and a massive lolly bar for the guests for the time in between the church and the reception. It was a surprise for them too. It was the best day, so much colour and fun…
