You don’t have to break the bank these days, to make your wedding day amazing. Why not have an intimate backyard wedding? Invite guests with a handwritten card, make fringe garland to string from tree to tree, and borrow mis-matched chairs from friends and family for an eclectic look for guests to sit! What a special day that would be!

I am in LOVE with the small intimate wedding idea. That will definitely be what I plan someday!!! Although… this assumes my friends all have really cute eclectic chairs… 🙂

Even though I think a wedding is pretty distant in my future, I really do love this idea.

So cute! I made the toppers for our little wedding, but if I would have seen these, I wouldn’t have had to!

In June I got married in my grandfather’s amazing yard, surrounded by woods, flowers, and loved ones. We had a vintage garden/woodland vibe with many, many homemade details. It was perfect! 🙂

I like the idea of it being small and intimate. I think so many weddings have become huge spectacles and people forget the whole purpose is to share their love, not worry about napkin colors and flower choices.

It would be a lovely wedding. Your party posts are always inspiring to me. Perhaps you’ll find the post I wrote today interesting, as it’s all about a Ladies’ Get Together Party I hosted on Wednesday.

i love the idea of mismatched chairs! i had a small backyard wedding – our ceremony was held in the driveway… while it was a bit of work shopping around thrift shops for plates and linens, making our own food and decorations, and then needing to clean up (with the help of our sweet friends and family)… it was so worth it. everyone had a great time and we didn’t need to go into any debt making it happen.

Love this! I got married last month and it was totally a budget style DIY affair but didn’t feel that way. As long as you put your own style into it,bet creative with resources and are flexible you can make a truly lovely event on a budget.
