Happy weekend! My kids are starting at a preschool in a week so it is the last week of real summer for us. We still need to get some more bike rides and picnics in. Since we’ve been back from France we’ve been so much better about setting boundaries with work and and personal time. Even though I still feel behind all the time it is great to feel like I’m at least not dropping the ball on things that are most important to me. I loved listening to Grace’s podcast on this same subject. Do you have a secret for feeling on top of things? Mine includes leaving the laptop at the studio and making sure the house is clean before I go to work. I hope you have a beautiful weekend!

Awww I bet you’ll soak up the Summer big time before they go back. I’m sure it’s kind of bitter sweet. I can’t wait to read up on what you’ll all do =)

Ahhh, the whole balance thing has a constant I’ve had to work on. I feel like there are rarely moments when I am on top of things and most of the time, I’m trying to catch up. With this recent move and change in jobs, I hope to be better about drawing boundaries at work from the very beginning.

oh man lady, making sure the house is somewhat clean before we step out? Simple, but brilliant. I at least try to make sure the kitchen is clean because I hate to come home/wake up to a mess in the kitchen. As far as unplugging, that’s a challenge in the world of freelance work! But I’m trying. Got rid of my iPhone last summer and this has helped to unplug me when I’m out and about with my girls. But, sniff sniff, I miss it.
