I haven’t been to a Bat Mitzvah since I was in middle school. If I remember right, I think I took a ‘N Sync CD as my gift. Yikes! My tastes have matured since then, thank goodness. Below are some ideas for what to wear and what to give at a Bat Mitzvah party.

Colorful moleskin journals are a great idea! And a highly recommend their recipe journal. I love mine! Just wish it came in more colors than just black. Maybe they’ll read this and think about it 🙂

This really made me laugh! I love the tangerine pleated dress- so pretty! When I was in the bar/bat mitzvah circuit I remember having a black dress with a peter pan collar and wore it with patent leather black mary janes- it was my fave BM outfit- I actually wish I still had that outfit…le sigh.
Happy hump day to you!

Gorgeous choices! Though as a Jewish girl, I’d have to say to make sure to have a little bit of a sleeve/cardigan during the service – it’s not super important if you aren’t Jewish, but it’s a custom to have your shoulders covered in the synagogue.
I’d totally still take the NSYNC cd as a gift haha

Those dresses are only appropriate for the most reform of bat mitzvah! Waaaay too much shoulder and arm showing. This post seems to miss the mark…

Funny! I was just invited to a Bat Mitzvah. We live north of NYC, and they’re a VERY big deal! It’s sparkly attire only, and this event will be FAR fancier than my wedding!
