If you have never experienced eating fondue – you must stop what you’re doing RIGHT NOW and check it out. I personally think it’s so interactive and funny!! You get to sit around the table and cook + dip your meal in cheese and chocolate. It’s messy and you have to be prepared to bump elbows with your tables mates!!!

I love Fondue! We have a tradition with frends to walk in winter (after snowing) on a mountain, eat fondue and drive with the sledge down. We call it “Mondschlittenfahrt” (engl. moon sleigh ride)

I love fondue! My parents bought me a fondue set when I moved into my first apartment (I even have a mini chocolate fountain). When I move back out I’m going to have to rediscover my love of fondue!

Have you tried meat fondue? It’s wonderful! You have bite size meatballs, pieces of chicken, bacon wrapped steak in a pot filled with olive oil. It’s great served with salad, bread, potato salad, coleslaw etc. fondueing makes anything feel festive!

I grew up with fondue! Every Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve my family has celebrated with fondue.
Love the yellow pot! Would be perfect for my own fondue.

Through much research I have determined that cheesecake bites dipped in chocolate fondue is best.

Have you tried Fondue Bourgignon? – it’s meat fondue where you actually cook little pieces of meat in stock. A few salads and sauces with it – yummy! And the stock the dat after – omg!

In France, there also is another type of fondue : the bourguignone fondue. Instead of cheese there is vegetable oil and instead of bread you take meet (normally beef but i’m sure you can use pork or whatever…). And you can eat it with fried potatoes (with garlic and parsley) and have sausage (bourguignone, américaine, curry, au poivre that you can find in every french food store) with it.
But savoyarde fondue (with cheese) is much better !!!

I just did fondue last night with my boyfriend! We started with a beer cheese one (gruyere and a whole bottle of a pale ale) and then did hot oil with a bunch of dipping sauces. Soooo good, except now I have no idea what to do with the rest of my leftover oil! But you can always throw a bunch of cut up meat and veggies into a wok the next day, and even throw some dipping sauce on towards the end of cooking…great way to use up leftovers.

Have you heard about the fun fondue party rules? They’re silly and you could make your own too!
