One of my favorite things about the holidays is all the cooking and baking and eating that goes on!! When I was little, my mom would throw these amazing cookie swaps – all I remember is sneaking out in my pjs and seeing a table covered in hundreds of different sweet treats. Everyone brings a few dozen cookies, you get to try anything you like, and then leave with handfuls of different recipes – it can’t get much better than that huh?

I really love the idea of a cookie swap! I think it’s mainly an American concept so I’ve never really done it, but I totally could get on board with the idea!
Love the nom nom nom towel!

I’m actually going to my first cookie swap this weekend! And I can’t decide what to make. I’ve been doing a lot of cooking the last couple of weekends, lots of peppermint flavored things. I have to admit – I’m sort of tired of crushing peppermints and candy canes. I guess I’ll just have to bake something new ; )

I LOVE cookie parties. I’ve been to a couple and they have been completely wonderful. Something about a bunch of ladies huddled in the kitchen baking, swapping stories and recipes, feels so right. It doesn’t hurt to have a little spiked eggnog or irish coffee either. 🙂

oh my goodness… my mom used to go to cookie swaps all the time! We used to stay up so late just waiting for her to get home with the goodies! I think it is such a sweet tradition and really want to start it with my friends!
