I’m starting a new series on my blog where I introduce an old-to-me blog and a new-to-me blog I love.
OLD FRIEND: First up is Megan aka Not Martha. Not Martha was the first blog I’d ever read. If fact I don’t think I called it a blog back then it was a “website.” She is the queen of DIY and her projects are brilliant. The reason I love Megan’s DIY projects is she only will do a project if she has a really good idea. They are not hastily put together. Megan will try a project three different ways until she finds the best way and then she’ll do a tutorial. Here are my favorite posts of Megan’s (it was so hard to choose!)
Tiny Gingerbread Houses for your Hot Drink
NEW FRIEND: I met Joke of Tokketok Letterpress last November at Little Winter in Portland. She was adorable and her letterpress aesthetic is beautiful. She has a blog where she posts fun projects. They are all clever and beautifully styled. Here are my five favorites.
[Edit 6/8/2011: My server crashed last night and lost some comments. I’m so sorry if your comment was deleted!]

Oh party crackers are such fun! I live in the US now, but was born and raised in Australia, and we would have them every Christmas, pulling them open over Christmas lunch. These bring back such fun memories!
Like the above commenter, I tried entering your Paris giveaway, but unfortunately it won’t allow me to comment – perhaps there is a maximum amount of comments allowed by your blogging platform? I’m not sure. But if possible, please include this as my entry to the AWESOME Paris giveaway. Fingers crossed!

Pick me! Pick me! Just retired from teaching kindergarten yesterday and would love to celebrate with a trip like this! I get such inspiration from your site. Could I fit in a letterpress class while I was there? Thanks so much for this generous gift, no matter who wins.

You…are…my…hero!!! I cant believe something like this exists on the internet! Its so true, so honest, and more than that you dont sound like an idiot! Finally, someone who knows how you can talk about a subject with out sounding like a kid who didnt get that bike he wanted for Christmas.

I was just searching for this information for some time. After six hours of continuous Googleing, at last I got it in your website. I wonder what is the lack of Google strategy that don’t rank this kind of informative web sites in top of the list. Normally the top sites are full of garbage.
