We aren’t having a big Christmas this year since we’ll be moving like 5 seconds later. But I am inspired by these felt ball decorations and placed a huge order on Etsy of felt balls. You can make them yourself but I’ve heard when you are making that many it can be time consuming. Felt is just so cozy.
The wreath instructions can be found right here and the garland is from Anthropologie but appears to be sold out.

Those are so lovely! I've seen a rug made from felt balls, but a wreath and garland are cute too!

I love this! I wonder how hard it would to felt your own and make the wreath or garland from the balls? (add yet another holiday project to my ever-growing list!)

I'm in the middle of needle felting to make a garland like that, and now you've got me thinking I should make a wreath, too! It's not *that* time consuming (if you don't have 2 kids and a big move coming up) to make the balls for the garland. The wreath would definitely take a while. Though I bet it would go a lot quicker if you were wrapping the wool roving around a little ball (styrofoam, maybe?) instead of making a solid wool ball like I've been doing.

Those look adorable – which somewhat makes me sad as I seldom buy things that can be made, tricking myself into think I'm going to make them. But I'm too lazy for that so I never do, and then just never end up owning them!

Jordan, this has nothing to do with felt balls, but can you tell us how much your brother was able to raise for the Haitian orphanage during the live chat? Thanks!

@Allison I think they raised just over $3000. I will post when they have more pictures or check out the blog for progress.

the pieces you chose are so colorful and fun!
i work with felt and wool a few times a year, when i can carve out spare time. making the felt balls is a bit time consuming, but incredibly calming.

I just made a similar wreath! I had been hanging on to those same instructions for awhile now! It turned out awesome!

(hot glue was much easier than the needle and thread!)

What a creative idea! The wreath would probably look great with just red and green felt balls or blue and white ones. Thanks for the wonderful ideas.

I saw the little ball garlands in the store here (in San Diego) last weekend, but they were $68. That seemed like kind of a lot to me! Love the wreath too.
