My friend Kim gave me this awesome Guacamole book called Guac Off! by Chronicle Books. We’ve been making Guacamole like crazy this week. I can go through a big bowl in one sitting. This book makes a great little gift.

I loooove guac! Ryan doesn't like it, so I'll go through a whole bowl all by myself! Can totally sub for dinner though 🙂 My problem is that I'm terrible at buying avacados. Always too ripe or not ripe enough…

That is so great – I need it! My boyfriend and I both felt we made the best guacamole, so we held a guac-off with 14 friends and made them vote between the two (blind vote of course). I won by 2 votes, but even he says the fun of the night was worth losing to me. Margaritas and guac – what more could you ask for?!

Interesting!! In Mexico we use avocados as an ingredient in salads or in the top of tacos, and of course "guacamole"… I didn't realize until now that I just know a few avocado recipes. I should buy this book!!! 🙂
