oh my! my sister and i make rasberry jam every year. we were planning to make labels this year. i’d love to make mini jars for some friends and re-create this idea. my question: do you know the best place to get those cute mini jars. we have the small jars that just screw on, but i LOVE the ones that buckle over. i saw them at a small gift shop on the oregon coast, and told my sisters about them, but didn’t know where to go about finding them. Any good advice?

Another lovely idea from you.
This may sound totally wierd, but I imagine that the inside of your mind is probably like Tail of the Yak — full of pretty things.

What an adorable idea! My wheels are spinning on what I can make.
Quick question: Is the jam actually canned (boiled, heat sealed, etc.)or just spooned into the jars? I wonder how long it lasts opened and out of the fridge if it isn’t canned?

Funny…I saw a post that was pretty much exactly the same on A Little Sussy on April 11. Did you come up with this idea or did she? I think a little credit is due.

Hey Ann, I actually have a sketch of a jam and bread favor in my sketchbook from January. It was originally supposed to be yellow themed but the store that carries my bamboo food trays ran out and they only had the red and white ones.
However, Nicole did inspire me to cover up the loaf with paper, I did that at the last minute because mine came out so ugly.
You can see from my blog I always link and give proper credit where I think its due.

Love these! What a great idea! Where can I find the bakers twine? My mom and I make freezer jam (cheater jam) every summer. I would love to gift these. Love those mini jars. Thanks! Love the details.
