I can very much relate…I find that I wish the inside of my refrigerator looked like the ones in the ads, with coordinated limes, star fruit, honeydew, a few green plastic containers and a pretty head of bibb lettuce all arranged neatly as if for display.
I used to really enjoy shopping at Publix (a Florida-based grocery chain) because their ‘home brand’ was very minimalistically labeled and helped me achieve a sense of the same style in my pantry!

I organize my entire closet by color. I have shoe racks that span the floor and my many pairs of colored shoes sit right below their same-colored shirts and pants – ditto for bags and hats on the shelf above.
Not only is it delightful to look at, but it’s actually pretty efficient too!

The Children’s Museum of the Arts in Manhattan http://www.cmany.org has an exhibit right now where childrens toys are arranged in color, and gender as it happens. Intr stuff. Mary
