I miss my long hair today. Short hair was fun for about two months. I’ve been growing it out for several months and it looks the exact same. This photo was taken four years ago by my friend Juliann Wheeler.

I love when people are honest about this because EVERY time you see a makeover show the first thing they do is cut off all the long hair no matter what! Thank you! (I have very long hair in case you couldn’t infer:) )

What a beautiful picture! I feel your pain. I’m trying to grow mine out too. And you’re right, it’s fun for about two months!

Haha – I’m right there with you. I grow my hair out, want something new, cut it short, get bored, grow it out. I’ve been repeating this cycle since about 7th grade, and right now I’m in the growing out phase.

we’re all in the same camp. I never learn! I see a cute photo, chop it off, and then spend years growing it out again only to repeat. Jordan, you have great long hair.

Oh man I feel your pain – chopped mine off and loved it , for like a month, and it seems to be taking forever to grow back! Wish there was a way to make it grow super speed!
nice photo xx

Just like everyone else, I’m feeling the pain personally! BUT what i want to know is Where did you get that Jaw Dropping Skirt!?!? I love it, and want one for myself!!

I actually love your hair short. It’s very sassy and stands out in a sea of long-hair styles. Enjoy it, even while you grow it out.

I totally agree. I used to have hair down to my butt until I was 27. It was just too ridiculous. My hair is about your length right now too with side swept bangs. I struggle with the same dilemma. I will tell you that to get it back to that length will require either 2 years of patience or some kind of extensions. I’ve never tried the extension thing. I don’t know how I feel about combing my hair with those in. Or how uncomfortable it would be, or how expensive it is to upkeep. But maybe a temporary solution?

What dumb coincidence! I just cut off 9 inches this very morning and feel fabulous. I guess I should enjoy this feeling as it seems it may be fleeting.

But if it is any consolation I love the short look on you too.

the grass is always greener – my long hair takes hours to dry – but cutting it makes me look 12. great picture btw – is that in the ferry building?

I has mine cut about 5 months ago and I am still enjoying it but I miss the longer hair when I see some cute ‘do’ I wish I could try. Oh, and your photo is one of my favorites ever.

Yeah, grow it out Jordan so I can cut mine off without looking like I copied you. Jared saw an old picture of me with my bob and said he missed it.

it will come back… take pre-natal vitamins! that makes your hair grow fast! my issue is that my long hair is so gorgeous, but yet it’s SO unmanageable that i rarely get it looking as gorgeous as it could look. i’m kind of in between now… it’s a good happy medium for me, when i notice it’s been in a pony tail of some sort for a week, then I know I need an inch or so taken off. I do love that picture too. I immediately recognized it as the same photo shoot from your header. Good luck!

I chopped mine off and donated it about 4 years ago and I feel like it’s almost to it’s old length now. It takes forever, but I think you look great either way. If you were a celebrity, you could just get extensions!

I’m growing my hair right now too. I do love my short hair, but it’s been short for so long. I can’t wait to see if I’ll like it long. Though long for me, is probably short for you!

Ah! I’m growing my hair out right now too. It was just past my shoulder blades on my wedding day. Then I chopped. it. all. off.
I like my hair short, but I also like it long. I wish I could have a magical hair wand… *sigh*

I feel you lady. I cut mine before Christmas then went all through my vacation with out even blow drying it or straightening it and I remembered about the pretty waves it would make when it was longer… sigh. now that I’m back and out of vacation mode, I miss my long hair too.
and yes, it takes forever to grow back!!!

You look like a completely different person! I like it both ways, but wow…I didn’t know it was you for a minute or two.
It always seems that if I want my hair to grow, it won’t and when I’m trying to shine on a couple of weeks between haircuts, it’s like chia hair!

I always tell people not to cut their hair when they ask – I have only done it 3 times but I HATE it! This should be the last … for a LONG time. There is only so much you can do with short hair & letting it air dry isn't an option for me anymore … argg.

I know I’m not the first person to say this, but YOU ARE SO RIGHT! I chopped my hair off for the summer, and yet it seems like it’s going to be summer 2020 before it’s grown out again. My problem is that I get it highlighted, so I have to get it trimmed every couple months. I feel like my hair isn’t getting any longer!

this is why i can’t cut my hair. if i go short, it needs to be a real commitment. otherwise, i’ll obsess about growing it out again.
my general feeling is that long hair will only work on me for about 10-15 more years. by then i’ll be completely grey, and i’ll probably look much better with a chic bob. so i might as well enjoy my long hair now and look forward to short hair later.

I always get the urge to cut my hair, but I don’t. I know it’s fun at first, but I always suffer from “phantom hair” and I get really sad and miss it right after the cut. Memories of those moments stop me from cutting mine too short 🙂

you know, hair is funny. i used to have short hair and have grown it out in the past few years… now it’s long long.
yet all i do now is see short hairstyles that i’d kill for. figures.
great shot though – i love how colourful it all is!

Gorgeous photo of you Jordan. I want long hair again too. But it’s been soooo long since I’ve attempted growing it out. I can’t get that awful awkward stage…

now i am thiking about that new pantene shampoo with the tag line “vowing to grow long hair?”—thats such a BRILLIANT marketing scheme–just look how many people here want their hair long again?! too funny.

I did the same thing after having my first child. It’s a right of passage, everyone I know has either cut drastically or cut bangs when there baby is about six months old. It will grow back fast…wear some buns and ponies.

I understand what you mean, I’ve done the same thing with my hair in the past. Now I’m back to long again.
But I will say this: you’re gorgeous either way. And that’s a great shot.

I miss my long hair too! I hate having it short since it looks weird like less than a month after I cut it, so I just had to go to the hair dresser a lot, now I wear it pinned up and hope it will grow out before the summer comes along.

Wait until Spring & Summer. For me it grows faster then. I don't know if it's all the fresh fruits & veg or the sun or maybe it's a combination. Anyway, I cut mine too and I'm so glad I didn't cut it any shorter like I initially wanted and went with my stylists advice.

There are pros and cons to both. I feel like when I have short hair I want mine long again and vice versa. Mine’s medium at the moment and I’m trying to decide which way to go. You’ve got me thinking… 🙂

Should we start a pool for community hair extensions? I hate my new short hair, too. It almost makes me want to get pregnant again just to have my goddess hair back.
However, your bob is super chic.
