This weekend I’m following up on one of my New Years resolutions to take a bookbinding course. In college my friend taught me some basics of bookbinding but I’m excited to take an official course. I already have so many ideas for books I want to make!

i love the idea of learning to bind books. there is something about binding things. making them all fit together in a neat little package. i love it.

Your course sounds like fun – I made some small journals with the help of the book “Creating Handmade Books,” but I would love to take a bookbinding class someday. I hope we get to see what you make this weekend.

LOVE bookbinding. Also love Keith A. Smith's books on the topic. Though I wanted to, I never took a class… I taught myself using his books!

Ooh, you’ll love it. I’ve taken a few at the center for book arts in ny. i wish i could afford to quit my job and become one of the bookbinders in residence there.
