Phew. We have had a long long week. I got back late last night from LA. We had such a good time visiting family and laying on the beach and going on all the rides at Disneyland. We were in the middle of “Soarin’ over California” when the earthquake hit yesterday. I’m glad everyone was safe but I was disappointed to not finish the ride. We pulled into town and we were met by the brisk San Francisco summer night. Everywhere I vacation I want to move. This time a little condo on the warm beach looked appealing. *Sigh*
But on a more practical note–I’m fairly certain this coat would temporarily satisfy any urge to move towards more balmy climates.

Oh my gosh! How scary to be on a ride when that happened! I imagine you wouldn’t feel it at all, but afterwards, knowing you were on it…that would be scary! Glad you had fun and made it back safe!

Oh LOVE THAT COAT as well! I think I’m going to use it for another inspiration for my kids clothes. OH, do you remember that lingerie you posted a while back? It was white with black ruffly trim. I left a comment about how I was going to use it as inspiration. Well….I just did! I made a little tank top and bloomer for my youngest.
I don’t know if you allow urls in your comments so if you’d like to see it just follow my profile to my Grosgain blog.
I get a lot of the inspiration from your blog! Thanks again!

I am obsessed with that color yellow. First it was a tshirt from J Crew, then a headband, then a bowl and cup from Anthropologie. Next thing I knew I’d painted one of the walls in my son’s room that color! There is just something about it.
