Last year I inherited my dad’s stamp collection. It is basically two thick binders of old stamps that are barely worth more than their face value. He bought them as an investment but they never amounted to much. Lucky for me they can still be used as postage and they are very cool looking. My favorite thing to do is to match up the stamps by color a la’ Bari Zaki. Buy your own vintage stamps here.

Hi!
I have been reading your blog for sometime now but, I confess I have never commented before now. I just would like to say that I just love your blog, your style and your recommendations. I have found two fabulous new singers that I really love via you and your blog and assorted other excellent finds(read: your latest garland post!) so, thank you and thank you!

After looking through that great ebay store, I’m strongly considering doing this for my save-the-dates for my upcoming wedding. Have you (or any of you commentors) had any problems mailing them?

I saw that there were going to be Eames stamps this year also. Wouldn’t they be great paired with the Chippendale chair or the clock (once postage goes up again)? I like the dichotemy of modern with tradish.
