I LOVE the new issue of Domino. It has this great decorating guide where designers give their opinions on everything from how you should hang your curtains {high, and hitting the ground with a small pool} or if you should have throw pillows on beds {bad idea!}

I don’t care what anyone says, my bed will NEVER be empty of throw pillows! But I do agree with the curtains statement…

Sharon, Don’t feel dopey.
On my bed we only have pillows we use. Euro pillows for reading in bed and four standard down pillows for sleeping. I tried two boudoir pillows but I thought it looked a little kitchy so I don’t use them any more. 🙂

Oh no! My mother reads this magazine, is a Realtor, and puts tons of pillows on her bed! 🙂
So, on a similar note, or at least it reminds me… There was recently an article in The New York Times titled the “Class-Conscious Raiser” which mentioned, among other things, that “poor people hang their pictures high up on the wall.” It never mentioned why, though! I have a few theories, but does anyone know why?
Here’s a link to the article: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/10/magazine/10payne-t.html?ei=5088&en=cd8a0e0a7c5596b0&ex=1339128000&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss&pagewanted=all
These days we never get around to making our bed. Oops!
