One of the perks of being married to Paul is he is always bringing home really cool art books. He showed this one to me last week and I can’t get over how cool it is. It is called Fingerprint: The Art of Using Handmade Elements in Graphic Design. The subtitle says it all. It has the most beautiful examples of how to use handmade elements in design projects. This book is so inspiring.

Nate brings home nerdy tech magazines and they just don’t inspire the same way. I guess cool books is my responsibility. I’m all over it.

I just read the hand-lettered introduction on Amazon- and I have to have this book. Thanks for sharing- what he points out is the exact reason I left graphic design for illustration… I need those fingerprints in the paint, human element, the warmth.
