You know how people who live in the suburbs will make day trips into the city? They always say things to me like “the city is a great place to visit, but I would never want to live there.” Well, once in a while city people do the same thing. Last night we got in our car and drove a half hour until we had arrived to the land of box chain stores and free parking. We drove up to every store we wanted to go to! There were a lot of people wearing Crocs and a lot of scary groups of teenagers. We ate dinner at a fast food joint and made it back to the city by 9pm. The suburbs are a great place to visit but I would never want to live there. 🙂

I couldn’t agree with you more! It’s great to drive out to target, marshalls and Costco once in awhile, but give me the city and my walkable life and NORMAL people anyday!

I’m not sure you can consider people that live in the city NORMAL. I’ve seen my share of crazies there, too.

I agree.
In fact I think that picture is the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen.
When I fly, I’m always disgusted by flying over the suburbs before landing. Ugh. who would want to live there?
And you’re right… the scary gangster teenagers are in the ‘burbs… not in the city.

Whoa. I wasn’t trying to start a war between city dwellers and suburbians. 🙂 I just thought it was funny that we are used to all the crazies in the city and we were scared of the teenagers at the mall. I actually really like the suburbs and hope to live there someday.
