I’ve decided to add a new feature to my right hand column. One of my never-ending goals {it is literally always on my to-do-lists} is to research cool stuff to do in San Francisco. I’m always bummed when I find out one of my favorite bands or authors stopped by San Francisco and I either missed it or found out too late to get tickets. It only takes ten minutes to look over a few sites, so more for my sake than anyone else’s I’ll be posting a “things to do this week” list in the right hand column. Hopefully this will keep me on my toes so I don’t miss things I really want to go to. I’m still experimenting but I think each week I will list a random SF neighborhood to explore and on Sundays I’ll list somewhere to take a drive to.
If you know of something good, like a nice gallery opening or a free concert, please email me so I can add it to the list.

check out track50.com You list all the bands that you like and then it emails you when they come into town. this may help with your goal of seeing concerts and/or getting tickets to them.

I was trying to think of the most random/memorable things we did in San Fran while we lived there and they would have to be
1) The Chantey sing ( a once a month pirate song sing along that my toddler loved, but note that songs get a little off color the later you stay
http://www.nps.gov/safr/historyculture/chantey-sing.htm
2) Visiting the Fortune Cookie Museum and taking tour of chinatown
3) Precita Eyes Mural tour of the mission district

And I loved visiting Angel Island and visiting Golden Gate Park all the time.. thanks for helping me remember what an awesome city SF is….I will have to visit soon…

I have that same ambition for myself in my area (D.C.) I’ll be checking back for ideas on how you decide to do it on your blog.
