An Ornament a Year

We started collecting ornaments our first Christmas together in San Francisco. At the after Christmas sale I bought a little Golden Gate Bridge ornament to represent us moving to SF. The second year was easy, I picked up a little Eiffel Tower because we went Paris on our honeymoon that year. This year is tough. There was nothing that really stood out that would be easy to translate to an ornament. I’m thinking about this little fluffle bird. I had the first two engraved with the year. This year I’ll just have a small pendant engraved and then attach it.

Restoration Hardware has (had?) Eiffel Tower tree decorations and free-standing decorations (which are on sale on the site as “destination Landmarks”) but they are wire, not solid. I can’t find the decorations on the internet, so maybe they were just in stores, or maybe they’re sold out. They also had Empire State Buildings, Space Needles, Big Bens, etc.

Tonia: like anonymous said I got both of the landmark ornaments in previous years at Restoration Hardware. I also see stuff like that all the time at Macy’s in San Francisco. It is pretty iconic so I bet it wouldn’t be too hard to find in an ornament store.
