We had a successful trip to IKEA on Friday because we followed our cardinal IKEA laws: 1. Go in the evening about an hour and a half before it closes. {There are no crowds and the store is well staffed.} 2. Have a list {research items before hand on the internet.} 3. Walk fast {this keeps you from browsing and wanting dumb things you don’t need.} 4. Don’t eat the swedish meatballs {someone inevitably will spend some time in the store’s bathroom if this one is ignored.}
If you follow these rules your IKEA experience will most likely be a pleasant one. They have some great new products. Here are some of my favorites: 1. Glass Jar – I am always on the lookout for cute little jars like this to keep ribbon, etc in. This new shape is by far my favorite IKEA has ever produced. 2. Cheap Gift Wrap in pretty colors. I picked a few rolls up. 3. This Muddus Table is on my maybe list. I’m thinking about red as an accent color in my living room and this drop table would be perfect. 4. I might get this rug in yellow for the kitchen.

You are lucky. I live no where near an Ikea. I would even eat the meatballs if I had to.

Erin: I like the meatballs too but my tummy does not.
Liz: I would use it as a side table {keep a picture frame or a something on it} and then I could prop up the leaf anytime I needed to use it for serving guests or for doing projects etc.

Too funny… I just posted about my son having diarrhea after eating IKEA meatballs. I’m pretty sure they were unrelated, but I did notice my hubby spending a few extra minutes in the men’s room. I love the meatballs so much, even the big “D” can’t deter me.
