I really liked the charms article in Blueprint for a few different reasons. First,I’m not into charm bracelets. When I think of a charm bracelet I think of an old lady that collects little charms and adds them one by one to her bracelet. But the article changed my perspective on the use of charms. Instead of using them as charms I love the idea of using just one on a pretty little gold chain or adding earring hooks and making earrings.

Another reason I liked it is because although some of the examples they used in the magazine were pretty expensive ($200). They also had really cute charms from $20-30. (The material, gold vs. plated etc., has a lot to do with the price.)

I loved the little letter ‘B’ (I want a ‘j’) and the little gold coral. So pretty. It opened up a world I had never really paid attention to. Hooray for charms and hooray for Blueprint.
