Here at Oh Happy Day, we’re all about confetti, balloons, and (with few exceptions) dogs. So when we got the idea for a confetti-filled balloon dog, it was a no brainer: win-win-win! Make these puppies for your next party or to give to someone special. They’re a big hit with the kiddos! Scroll down to get the full tutorial!
Materials Needed: 260Q balloons (in clear), mini confetti, balloon hand pump, scissors, ¼” ribbon (in pink)
Step 1: Inflate a 260Q balloon, then release all the air. This will stretch the body of the balloon, making it easier to insert confetti. Cut off the mouth of the balloon so opening is wider and add a small stack of mini confetti into the balloon.
Step 2: Inflate the balloon so that the confetti falls down toward the center of the balloon. Hold the opening of the balloon and release all the air. You’ll be left with an uninflated balloon stuffed with confetti. Add more confetti and repeat this process until you have a good amount inside the balloon.
Step 3: Inflate the balloon and make a poodle, twisting gently. Here’s a link to an easy DIY. Tilt and shake the balloon before twisting to make sure there’s confetti in each section of the poodle!
Step 4: Leave the poodle as is or make a leash out a long piece of ribbon. Tie the ribbon to the poodle and you’re all set!
