I’m obsessed with these ornaments from Martha Stewart’s new collaboration with The Home Depot. First of all they are shatter proof, so important if you have kids or pets (or if we’re being honest here, clumsy adults) living with you. Secondly the colors are spot on and so modern. It’s so hard to find good greens and blues like these. This wrapping idea is inspired by Martha’s series of holiday how-to videos. Each video is has great DIY ideas for holiday decorating. Martha’s instructions are clear and it’s helpful to see her create the DIY on camera. I really loved the video on making Ornament Clusters and decided to top off a few gifts using Martha’s techniques. You’ll just need a few things to get started…. (PS – Shop the Martha Stewart Living holiday collection by clicking here!)
Materials: Plain Wrapped Gift, Ribbon, Ornaments, Thin Wire, Wire Cutters
Step 1: Place the wire through the top of the ornament so there’s 2-3 inches of excess on either side. Twist the wire together.
Step 2: Repeat Step 1 on any ornaments you’re planning on using in the cluster.
Step 3: Arrange the ornaments together in a cluster that you like and twist the wires together.
Step 4: Tightly tie a thick and sturdy ribbon around your gift. Before tying a bow, twist the wires from the ornament clusters around the knot in the ribbon.
Step 5: Tie a bow and style the ornaments.
See? So easy! Make sure you watch ALL of Martha’s holiday videos right here.
