This costume is really easy and affordable. Once you have all the supplies, it can pulled together in a few minutes. It’s great if you’re short on time. Just make sure this little trick or treater doesn’t use any spells to steal all the candy! Click here to see all the costumes in our Homemade Halloween series.
Materials: Metallic cone hat (we found ours at a Halloween store, but you could also make one with metallic paper,) Long white beard, Gold duct tape, Plastic black tablecloth, Gold spray paint, A stick (spray-painted gold)
For the cloak:
Step 1: Using cardstock, make a quick stencil of stars & moons. Place the stencil over the tablecloth and spray paint with gold paint.
Step 2: Once the paint had dried, cut a hole in the center of the tablecloth.
Step 3: Place your head through the hole in the tablecloth. Arrange it so the long sides extend down your front and back.
Step 4: Hold your arms out parallel to the ground and use duct tape as a belt to hold the cloak in place around your waist.

Merlin! Gandalf! (or whoever wizard it must be) Such a lovely tip, just right on time to prep up for Halloween!
And yes, the cute wizard is also wearing sneakers. Adorable.

Love this idea! We sell the perfect beard for this costume. The hillbilly beard in white. It has a strap so no need to glue in on the face-which wouldn’t be a hit at my house! Our website is http://www.mycostumewigs.com. Thanks for the idea-I will be linking this to share this fun idea.
