These easy to assemble treat bags are a simple way to wish someone a bit of luck this St. Patrick’s day. Printing the bags on vellum lets those pretty gold treats really shine through. With horseshoes, clovers, & a bit of gold your friends & family will certainly find these treat bags “charming” (ha!)
Materials: Printable Lucky Day Treat Bag template, 8.5 x 11 white card stock, 8.5 x 11 vellum paper, craft knife, bone folder, ruler, double sided tape (or glue), stapler, patterned-edge scissors, large gold coin chocolates or other gold-wrapped candy
Step 1: Print page 1 of the downloadable template on 8.5 x 11 white cover stock and page 2 on 8.5 x 11 vellum paper
Step 2: Cut out the tags & bag template with the craft knife using your ruler as a guide. Fold the tags in half and set aside.
Step 3: For the bag: Fold the outside flaps to the center so that the sides are flush with the extended bottom tab. Fold the bottom flap up. Use the bone folder to make the edges extra crisp.
Step 4: After folding, seal edges with double-sided tape or glue.
Step 5: When bag is assembled, trim the top with patterned scissors if you have them.
Step 6: Put your favorite gold candy in the bag.
Step 7: Fold the top of the bag over and staple on the tag.
Step 8: Hand out your lucky treats!

Just completed bags for my daughter’s preschool class. They turned out perfectly adorable! Thank you for introducing me to vellum paper. I had no idea it was so cool! Or that you can print right onto it. I used the copier at the office which worked brilliantly!
Awesome! So glad to hear it turned out well!!
