If you’re like me, you’ve been dreading this week for months. Starting Monday, Google Reader is done. Meaning, we all have to migrate to a new platform. I finally decided to switch to Feedly, and was super surprised at how easy the transition was. They’ve made it super-easy to transfer my whole blog roll over in a few quick clicks. For the most part, the functionality is the same – even though it looks a little different. What about you? Are you a Google Reader user? What platform will you be using now? And, if you’re on Feedly, you can sign up for Oh Happy Day right here!

I switched to Feedly, too, but I’m REALLY going to miss Google’s Next button. 🙁

I decided to try two and then keep the one I like better. I am trying Feedly and The Old Reader. Both have features I like, both have things I don’t like. I will probably start to gravitate towards one and that will be the one I keep.

I love bloglovin because you get to see the blog post on the actual blog site so I get to see all the pretty layouts like yours and easily click to other areas on the blog and get distracted by other pretty things on the blog site. But there is still a button at the top of the broswer and you jut click next and it jumps to the next post in your feed. Love it!

I’ve been using feedly for awhile and really like it. I think one of the best features is that you can customize the view per feed. Some sites are much better as a magazine layout (design inspiration, etc.) so I have those type with that view and more informational sites are better set as list views.

I love to use bloglovin. It’s really easy and the looks really pretty. I actually found you from there. 🙂

Oh my gosh. I switched to Feedly about 5 days ago and I must say I’m thoroughly obsessed! I loved how easy the transition was and how similar the interface is, while not copying Reader entirely. I’m honestly thinking I like Feedly more than Reader and wish I had switched long ago!! I particularly love the mobile app and the fact that if you install the Feedly extension in Google Chrome it leaves a tiny tab at the top of your browser so it’s always right there if you want to click over and check for new material. <3 I'm recommending it to all of my friends who have not switched their feeds yet!

I switched to Feedly earlier this week. I think I actually like it better than Google Reader.

I switched to Feedly and I like it even better than google reader! Also, for those of you missing the “next” button, the keyboard key “j” does the same thing!

Bloglovin has been great for the transition!

Thanks @sarah I’ve been using Feedly and was missing the “next” button. I needed a little guidance with “j” button to keep my sanity for long hours of blog reading.

    Oi!

I switched to Feedly, mainly because the iPhone/iPad app called Reeder will support it.
To me it’s important sync my feeds with my browser and my phone, and Reeder is the best mobile RSS feed reader out there.
    Feedly’s mobile app is lame.

    Tchau!

A former Googler wrote a program to get all of your Google Reader info:

    Wahoo!

I tried Feedly but I wasn’t a fan. I couldn’t find what I wanted to. Something just didn’t click for me! It’s weird, because it seems popular with many other blog readers.

Personally, I like Bloglovin so much better. That’s what I’m using now, and I wouldn’t change a thing about it. Plus, like Feedly, they now have apps across all mobile devices.

    RIP, Google Reader!

I moved my feed to bloglovin about a month ago…and like it very much…easy to do.

I did a lot of research and testing and The Old Reader is by far my favorite and closes to Reader (and it has a cute little mint green pac man loading icon). But if you want something different and very readable, FeedHQ.org is another option.

I tried Bloglovin but really didn’t like the interface. I don’t remember exactly what it was, but I don’t think I was able to sort through my feeds as easily as in Google Reader. I’ve been using The Old Reader for a couple of months now and love it. It took a bit to figure out how to sort my feeds into folders, and it’s tad slow to update, but otherwise it behaves the same as Google Reader. I love it!

I switched to Feedly a couple of months ago and I really like it. It’s no Google reader, but it does actually delete the feeds I want to delete (unlike reader who just adds them back). And, once I learned the keyboard shortcuts, it’s no problem to easily go back and forth between feeds.

    Thanks!
