Picnic season is upon us! Here is a clever little packaging trick when you are hosting an event outdoors. Just glue a small clothespin to a wooden fork (or any utensil) and clip it to your picnic lunch. It is cute and functional. (How awesome would it be to pair these with a DIY S’Mores Kit on a camping trip?!)

Materials: Brown Paper Bags, Printable Label Template, Craft Glue, Wooden Forks, Wooden Clothespins, Picnic Food
Step 1: Secure the brown paper bags to a standard sheet of printer paper to avoid any jams in the printer. Download our printable label template and print off your desired number of bags.
Step 2: Glue the wooden forks to the clothespins and let them dry completely.
Step 3: Fill your bags with picnic goodies, fold the bag over at the top and secure with the fork clothespin.
Step 4: Meet up with your friends and enjoy a beautiful picnic in the park!

the type on the bags is adorable! i love the way this idea could be applied to picnics where people are having different types of food (i.e., due to a food allergy) and picnic-ers’ names could be printed on the bags. beautiful work as always!

My gosh, cuteness overload! I love this idea 🙂 Very rustic. I wonder where you guys got the brown bags though, are these customized or you can buy them in retail stores? Thanks!

I’m sorry but…. why are we skipping right passed the instructions on the print on the bags? Is this a stamp, a stencil….what?

What lovely simple idea! I hope we get some good picnic weather over here this year too. We’ve been told not to expect BBQ weather, but a sliver of sunshine would be great 🙂 This idea its delightfully cheerful. Thanks for sharing it!

Oooh I love this! It’s so simple but often the simplest ideas are the best ones 🙂 I can’t help but think it would work so so well with a painted wood cutlery tutorial we had on our blog if you wanted a bit of colour too 🙂 http://blog.appliancesonline.co.uk/family/craft-time-painted-wood-cutlery Now all we need is some nice weather so we can have a picnic 🙂 xx

Okay, I am DEFINITELY stealing this idea when I do my picnicking this summer! I wish I could go this weekend, but it’s been all rainy here the last couple of days so I wouldn’t want to risk it yet. But when I do, I’m going to take this idea of clothespinning utensils to the bags.
I’m just guessing, but this wouldn’t work as well with plastic utensils, would it?
