Valentine’s Day gets a bum wrap, all the pressure and expectations! I love Valentine’s Day because it is an excuse to do little surprises for people and make them feel loved. I’m going for less red roses and more thoughtful gestures. Here is a little surprise to get someone’s Valentine’s Day started out right. Fill a closet or cupboard with heart balloons and wait for them to get showered in balloons. It is super easy and simple to pull this off.
Materials Needed: 1 Bag of Heart Balloons, Lungs of Steel

I did this last year, except I filled his Jeep with them, instead of a closet. On each one, I wrote “I love you more than…..” (naps, Downton Abbey, donuts, etc). It was a really inexpensive gift, but he loved it! He left the balloons in there, and drove around all day with them!

I love this idea! When I was in High School we use to do fun things like this for our friends birthdays. Once we filled my friends car with balloons. She loved it! And another time, we filled a friend’s bedroom with balloons, that was a lot of work, but it was so awesome when we jumped out of the balloons when she walked into her bedroom and yelled surprise!

We did something like this last Valentines Day. A friend and I filled my roommates room with heart balloons while she was sleeping so when she woke up she had to wade through them to get out of bed. Her reaction was amazing and for someone who was a self proclaimed “Valentines Hater” she did see to appreciate it.

Love the balloon idea but, I really just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your blog. The name itself just makes me sing it and smile. My family always looks up to see what I’m doing and why I’m singing. Have a blessed day.

This is a great idea! A friend of mine actually got proposed to this way. She really likes balloons, so her boyfriend blew up a whole bunch of them, filled up her closet with them, then got into the closet himself. He arranged things with another friend so that she would come home to change clothes for something, and then when she opened up the closet, all these balloons showered her, and her boyfriend stepped out and proposed to her. Somehow he got it on video, too. It was really romantic!
