Miette Candy Store

One of my favorite places in San Francisco is Miette. It is a ridiculously cute baked goods and candy store. (They have a few locations but my favorite is the Hayes Valley shop.) When people come to San Francisco its one of the first places I send people. I needed some photos last week and they kindly let us stop in and take some shots. If you get a chance to go some of my favorite things to try are: gourmet whoppers, vanilla macarons, homemade caramels, brown sugar licorice, and the chocolate covered gummy bears. They also have a cookbook and give classes sometimes too!

Your outfit is to cute!!!!! Do tell where you bought the skirt and shirt, please???? Have a great 4th of July and welcome back to the states. Can’t wait to see the pics of your new place and what you have done with such a tiny space. Loved your Paris apartment….be sure and say a prayer for our country.

This looks delightful! It’s like Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York, but less overwhelming. There’s just something about candy stores that makes you feel like a kid again. I’ll have to see about finding a good candy store when I move.

Is it a tiny bit wrong that one of the main reasons I wanted to go on holiday to San Francisco was to visit Miette? I wasn’t disappointed when I finally got there! I love the cookbook too. :)

I have been a fan of Miette in SF for a while but just went to their lovely shop in Oakland….perfect! They had an awesome abstract sculpture made from paper plates and napkins that I loved. Their shortbreads are outstanding-especially the lavender and the chocolate sable….can’t wait to go back and also explore Oakland more. Old Oakland is brimming with creativity – so much indie talent in the pop up shops on 9th…unique works from local artists and designers–great little day trip from sf.
