I hadn’t planned to blog about all these treats we sent my friend Mark as a thank you for programming my new site, but Alexis took such great photos and I would never turn down an opportunity to talk about baked goods.
Day One: We sent a Root Beer Sampler.
Day Two: Alexis made her famous chocolate chip cookie and wrapped them in brown wax sleeves and bakers twine. Do you have a favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe? I’m obsessed with this recipe.
Day Three: We dropped off a box of Beard Papa cream puffs. Do you know these? It is a Japanese chain that has come to the US in the last 5 or so years. They use really fresh ingredients including raw vanilla bean for the pudding. You have to eat them fast because after a few hours they get a little soggy. My mouth is salivating just thinking about it. Have you tried Beard Papa’s?

Love that idea for wrapping cookies – and did I miss it or can we have Alexis’ recipe?? I love a thick oatmeal chocolate chip cookie!
Sadly, they opened a Beard Papa here, but in the wrong neighborhood and at the wrong time, so it closed right away. I never even made it there, though I’ve tried them in SF!
