OLD FRIEND + NEW FRIEND

I’m starting a new series on my blog where I introduce an old-to-me blog and a new-to-me blog I love.

OLD FRIEND: First up is Megan aka Not Martha. Not Martha was the first blog I’d ever read. If fact I don’t think I called it a blog back then it was a “website.” She is the queen of DIY and her projects are brilliant. The reason I love Megan’s DIY projects is she only will do a project if she has a really good idea. They are not hastily put together. Megan will try a project three different ways until she finds the best way and then she’ll do a tutorial. Here are my favorite posts of Megan’s (it was so hard to choose!)

Tiny Gingerbread Houses for your Hot Drink

Leprechaun Trap Cake

Marble Magnets

Party Crackers

Easter Surprise Eggs

NEW FRIEND: I met Joke of Tokketok Letterpress last November at Little Winter in Portland. She was adorable and her letterpress aesthetic is beautiful. She has a blog where she posts fun projects. They are all clever and beautifully styled. Here are my five favorites.

Confetti Dipping

Kids M&M Game

Prettiest way to wrap flowers

Dotty Gift Tags

Dotted Tissue Packaging

I can’t seem to comment on the Paris post below but would still LOVE to go to Paris. I just found your blog the other day and LOVE it.

Oh party crackers are such fun! I live in the US now, but was born and raised in Australia, and we would have them every Christmas, pulling them open over Christmas lunch. These bring back such fun memories!

Like the above commenter, I tried entering your Paris giveaway, but unfortunately it won’t allow me to comment – perhaps there is a maximum amount of comments allowed by your blogging platform? I’m not sure. But if possible, please include this as my entry to the AWESOME Paris giveaway. Fingers crossed!

  • Yay yay yay, this new series is going to be great!

I am so happy to have been introduced to your site! I love it! A trip to Paris would mean so much to my family. My 11 year old daughter has been learning french and she deserves a trip soo soo much! Really. So this entry is for Samantha! Regardless, we love beautiful crafts and yours are both lovely and so nicely explained we’ll be making a few very very soon. Thank you for offering such a wonderful contest!

  • You…are…my…hero!!! I cant believe something like this exists on the internet! Its so true, so honest, and more than that you dont sound like an idiot! Finally, someone who knows how you can talk about a subject with out sounding like a kid who didnt get that bike he wanted for Christmas.

  • I was just searching for this information for some time. After six hours of continuous Googleing, at last I got it in your website. I wonder what is the lack of Google strategy that don’t rank this kind of informative web sites in top of the list. Normally the top sites are full of garbage.
