The White Dinner (Diner en Blanc)
Anne told me about this event called Diner en Blanc that might be the coolest thing I’ve ever heard of. It happens every year (each year in a new location) and the attendees don’t know where they are going until 15 minutes before it starts. Everyone wears white and and has a giant dinner party under the stars. Doesn’t it look amazing? I’m dying here. How do I get an invitation?! I’m very tempted to throw my own. Who’s in?

Wow. How do you 'avoid' an invitation would be better question. (I mean that in a good way). It's impressive that they have so many people ready on the spur of the moment.
If somehow you don't find an invite (which I would not bet against) I say you do one of you own.

Um. Your blog kind of ruined me (in a good way). Because of your oh-so tempting entries, my husband and I are now planning a 3 week trip for this July, despite our having been several times, including a semester study abroad.
I'm hoping this event happens in July (and that we get invites!)
logistically, i think it would be relatively easy to pull off with social networking (especially twitter) nowadays. if you do get an invite, please do tell us!

One year when we were there this event was going on. It was so amazing to watch. The French have a wonderful way of celebrating the everyday!

I have never heard of this. This just might be the coolest thing I have ever seen. I didn’t think it was possible for me to love the idea of Paris even more than I already did! Dying over here!
