Balloon Invitations
Love this helium balloon invitation from On Hand Modern. She says the helium didn’t stay in the water balloon for more than a few minutes but I think if you used these tiny balloons it might work–they last a couple hours. Long enough to deliver the invitation and get the right effect. I love this idea so much I wish I’d thought of it.
[A tip: use very thin thread when working with small balloons since even a normal sized string weighs them down.]

Absolutely brilliant! Imagine the smiles this must have bought to the recipients faces!
Oh I love that. I bet dental floss would work well, or sewing thread
Oh I LOVE this. I went to your old post but I didn't see any link for the balloons. Do you remember where you bought them?
Any party supply store or balloon store will have them. Just call ahead.
Oh! That is such a cute idea! I'm not a creative party person at all, but I'd love to do this!
i love this! could be perfect for a birthday "card" if it only lasted for a few hours. i heart balloons… i definitely need to find more ways to start using them:)
oh my gosh. this is ADORABLE!
i totally thought of you when i saw this. very jordan.
Love this too. If I called my local Party America, would I simply refer to them as "mini balloons" and they would know what I was talking about? I've never seen these either.
That is amazing. I love it.
I've thought of using this idea in the past. Don't you think it'd be the perfect way to announce a pregnancy? Or at least announce the gender?
What a cool idea!
Cutest EVER!!
There is a spray that can be used inside the balloons to make them last longer – florists use it – I'm not sure what it's called, but it would be great for this!
great tip about the mini balloons, jordan. they are larger than the water balloons i used, but small enough to have a similar effect. and it sounds like they definitely last longer! very good point about the thin string also.
thanks for the shout and the lovely comments from everybody.
Ah! So fun.
oh I love it… so wish I had thought of it!
