Isabel over at Alpha Mom asked me to create a Father’s Day DIY Project for the site. I was happy to oblige and came up with this box of “Hero Supplies“–a box filled with Dad’s favorite treats. I had fun coming up with the labels. This is actually a really easy project, basically all you need is a printer. You can read the whole post with instructions and download the label designs free right here.

Love this idea, particularly for the Dad who is hard to shop for. Also LOVE your design for the circular label; I noticed it in pink on your lemonade bottles (which I went and purchased at Ikea last weekend). Thanks for the ongoing eye candy and inspiration! Keep it coming!

I too modified your project for my dad. Last year he was in a cycling accident that left him wearing a brace across his chest that looked like a turtle shell. We started calling him 'Middle-Aged Mutant 'Inja Turtle'. Seeing your 'Hero' project, I realized I could tie in his nickname (now that he is completely healed) in a fun new way.
I posted about the results, and linked back to your blog of course, here: http://www.theobsessiveimagist.com/2010/06/fathers-day-wrap-up.html
Thank you again for the great idea!! I love your blog!
